Some of the top Spring trends of 2009 include exaggerated looks such as Harem pants that really make a statement, to Jumpsuites that look like they belong on trapeze artists. With this in mind here are a few of this seasons fashion trends that can be seen both on the runway and in some of your favorite stores.
1. One-Shoulder Designs.
Whether on the runway or going to a casual party, the one shoulder dress is something that is hitting stores in hopes that buyers will stay trendy while staying cool. The seventies inspired look offers a fresh look to pieces that could easily be passed as average. Runway designer Max Azria, whos design is seen below, described the inspiration for the one-shoulder look from focusing on the body and minimising the clothes.

The next look to hit the runway was that if the blazer. Much like the seventies inspired one shoulder pieces that are coming into style this Spring, blazers of all colors and types (including those with shoulder pads) are expected to be seen everywhere. The inspiration comes from the late and well known designer Yevs Saint Laurent whose blazers set that standards in the seventies and are coming back onto the fashion scene this season.

This more realistic and reasonable blazer is simple enough to be worn with a pair of jeans, but still makes a statement in the spring trend of blazers. The colors follow the bright attention grabbing look of the season as well as the design of the jacket. 3. Bold Accessories.
Unlike the usual trendy necklace or bracelet, the Spring of 2009 fashion is introducing bold, bright, and BIG accessories. Whether it be color or size, these accessories are eye catching and sure to turn heads. This is a big turn in fashion for many since we are so used to seeing smaller more simple necklaces despite who the designer may be.
