Following A Label- Trina Turk

Fasion Designer Trina Turk

Whether they can afford high end retail or not, many fashion fans such as myself seem to be interested in what top designers offer and the inspiration for their past collections. In my own case, the theme of "you want what you cant have" seems to ring true seeing as to how I can not afford to purchase any high end items, but the designs of Trina Turk have often caught my attention.

Like most designers, Trina Turk had known she wanted to be a fashion designer at a young age and had to start at the very bottom to work her way to the top where she sits now with her expensive yet beautiful pieces and collections. Working and designing swimear for Ocean Pacific as her first job, Trina created mostly junior clothing and soon realized that she herself could start her own business. The start of Trina Turk launched in 1995 when her own designs were sold in high priced stores such as Barney's New York, Saks Fith Avenue, and Fred Segul with her business based in Los Angeles California.
Trina's collections are inspired by the widly mixed ciulture of Los Angeles and the different trends that the individuals of the city sport on a daily basis, as well as the landscape of the area as well. Turk's collections have become popularly known for not only the prints and fit but for Trina's own philosophy of "creating wearable, optimistic fashion that incorporates the best aspects of classic American sportswear." Also sticking to the high end aspect of her line, Trina Turk gets inspiration from the finer things in life and markets her products to those who can afford the cocktail party and life by the poolside look.
